Movers for loading and/or unloading

Do you only need the movers? Maybe you have the truck and all you need is the movers to help you load and/or unload…

We can help! Our movers work with the drivers of the largest van lines to help them unload their tractor trailers. So, helping you unload your rental truck won’t be an issue.

Since our movers are used to moving pianos and other extremely heavy furniture, there is nothing you need to move that we won’t be able to handle.

How much should I pay for a local mover? How much does it cost to move?

Legit movers will be able to give you an exact price quote for your move. There are several factors that will affect the price of your move.

Your inventory, the date, and the details of your move will affect the rate directly.

Also, keep in mind that packing services and unpacking of boxes are services you can also hire from your local movers to save time and even money.

Let our movers pack for you! Yes, our movers are pro packers as well!

Although not all of them are, some are, and they are great at it. For bigger packing jobs, we send our packing crew.

While the movers protect the furniture with blankets and the mattress with plastic covers, the packers will bubble-wrap the fragile items that need to be boxed up. Our movers and packers work super efficiently together.

Only when you hire both of these services, you get the full Movers On Duty experience.

Movers Frequently Asked Questions:

Please visit our movers FAQ section for Pre-move questions, packing guidelines, packing frequently asked questions, and for FAQs about the move or even piano moving questions.

How much does it cost for movers to move you?

There are many cheap movers and moving companies in the area, they all have different price structures, deals, and specials. When contacting a moving company, don’t ask how much do movers cost? or How much does it cost to hire movers? Instead, find out what other charges they have.

For example, if the movers are bringing the truck, will there be additional charges for gas or mileage? If you want the movers to protect your furniture, do you know if there will be additional charges for the wrapping supplies? (Not with us)

It doesn’t take long to get an accurate moving quote over the phone but if you’d prefer you could also get an instant online moving quote in less than 2 minutes. Or just email us pics of what you need help with, and we’ll email you a quote. Our email address is info@moversonduty.com

Will the movers disassemble and reassemble furniture?

Yes, our movers can dismantle tables, beds, and most basic furniture. Our furniture technicians are experts that will assemble and disassemble furniture as needed.

Beds will be set up at the new location exactly where you want them. Mirrors will be back on dressers. Bookcases and shelving units will also be made whole (If your bookcases have glass shelves or the shelves come right off by lifting them, our movers will most likely remove the shelves to wrap them separately).

We will take care of everything for you. We always have the right tools for every job.

Putting together and taking apart furniture might not be an easy task but when you hire a full-service moving company, you should expect them to be able to help with that.

Will I save money if I assemble or disassemble the furniture myself?

If you are moving on a budget and you feel that you are fully capable of disassembling and/or reassembling the furniture yourself, then do it yourself.

This will definitely save you time and money. Just let us know that you are planning on doing this when getting a quote so we can discount it from the charges.

How long does a local move usually take?

Our movers are really fast but most importantly, they don’t waste time.

They are not on their phones; they don’t take brakes to go smoke.

They have all the right equipment to expedite your move. We always show up with dollies and hand-trucks.

You will love our movers. And we can guarantee that you will never see another group of trained pro movers working together so well as a team. Don’t believe us? Then, just read our online reviews, please.

How much to tip movers? Do you tip movers when they load or unload?

Should you even tip your movers? Well, that depends. If you had to help them, if they damaged stuff, or if they were just being lazy, then no, they don’t deserve a tip. On the other hand, if they did a great job and nothing got damaged then yes, you totally should.

Moving is hard work and movers love when they are shown appreciation for their hard labor. But how much do you tip movers? $20 per mover or $100 per mover. It is completely up to you in reality. Our movers know that not everyone can afford to tip. (But an online review is also a plus) Movers usually receive their tip after unloading or delivering.

But for long-distance relocations, the crew picking up might not be the same crew that delivers. The crew leader will be able to let you know which team members will meet you at the delivery. This would be the best time to tip the movers that you won’t see on the other end.
